jen and jo's cure for jet lag ...
... accidently visit the Colosseum.
They say you should go for a walk and get fresh air - around here you never know where you might end up! We set off for a short walk while we waited for our room and just around the corner we found gladiators! (Also gypsies and umbrella sellers but we avoided those). All good roads are said to lead to Rome and in Rome all those roads end with pizza - at least when we were concerned - and we are now happily in our hotel room well fed, cleaner and very unsure of what time it is (or what day it is... or what month it is...).

Hi,
ReplyDeleteYay, updates! Been waiting so very excited to see what you've been up to. Great to see yu made it as so many flights haven't been able to land with snow. Not Rome I don't think but Florence airport was closed. Hopefully you can see my comment on Lena's blog for our news but if not, let me know and I'll copy it across. I was looking at my Masterchef magazine today to plan Boxing Day lunch and got sidetracked by their Rome recommendations. In case they are helpful their recommendations at the more wallet friendly end of the market were:
Felice a Testaccio (Via Mastro Giorgio 29)
- Trattoria Monti (Via di San Vito 13a)
- Sora Margherita (Piazza del Cinque Scole 30)in the Jewish quarter, with Roman Jewish specialties.
Keep the fun an updates coming!
Love,
Karen
